    What a brilliant spectacle those fifty overs were. The initial burst from Boult and Ferguson took out the Australian top order early, with some incredible catching helping the Kiwis along the way. The men in green and gold fought back, though, thanks to a gritty partnership between Khawaja and Carey. Momentum swung back to the Blackcaps at the end of the innings, with Boult nipping in with a hattrick. The game is interestingly poised, and can still go either way. It should be a tense chase to come.

Hits the pitch hard, Santner shuffled across to use the pace and help it over fine leg for six, but he doesn't get enough distance behind the ball, and it is easily pouched on the boundary edge.

    A dominant win by Australia in the end. Some magnificent bowling, and even better catching on display throughout the day. That vital partnership between Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey proved to be the difference between the two sides. New Zealand were very poor with the bat, and should've been more attacking when they had Australia against the ropes in the first innings. However, full credit must go to the Aussies, and they now go three points clear at the top of the table. New Zealand remain in third place.

    Tomorrow's World Cup action is a tasty one. England against India. Plenty at stake for the hosts. It should not be missed.
