Virat Kohli has established himself as a mordern-day great and took India cricket to greater heights with his performance. The Delhi cricketer was born on 5 November 1988 in the national capital. Regarded as one of greatest batters to have ever graced the game, Kohli holds the records for scoring most runs in T20 internationals and in the IPL. He is the second most successful batter in international format after Sachin Tendulkar, in terms of most centuries slammed. In 2020, the International Cricket Council named him the male cricketer of the decade. Kohli has also been a part of numerous India successes, including winning the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. Kohli made his international debut in 2008 and quickly became a key player in the ODI team. The talented batter - who won the 2008 ICC U19 World for India - made his Test debut in 2011. In 2013, Kohli reached the number one spot in the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen for the first time. In 2018, he became the world's top-ranked Test batsman, making him the only Indian cricketer to hold the number one spot in all three formats of the game. In 2019, he became the first player to score 20,000 international runs in a single decade. Virat Kohli is married to famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and the two have a daughter named Vamika.
