  • That's a wrap - Earlier today, Chepauk Super Gillies got the better of SKM Salem Spartans, leaving Salem still searching for their first win of the season, before Siechem Madurai Panthers made it four wins from four. There is another double-header coming your way on Thursday, August 13. First up, Kovai Kings take on Nellai Royal Kings at 3.30 pm IST (10 am GMT), before IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans face Trichy Grand Cholas at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT). As always, make sure you join us early for all the build-up. Until then, take care and goodbye!

  • PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Rohan Bhutra takes home the award for his impressive showing with the ball, returning figures of 2/23 from his 4 overs. Rohan feels God has been kind to him to be able to contribute in this way. He has worked on his bowling according to the role he has been given and trusts his variations, focusing on what he has practised rather than worrying about the outcome. He says the numerous drills he has done over the last three years have helped him immensely.

  • Earlier in the game - With rain around and the contest reduced to 18 overs a side, it was a no-brainer for Baba Indrajith to opt to bowl first. The Panthers got off to a brisk start, but the Dragons fought back well through the middle overs to pull things back. Madurai still managed to scrap their way to 171, though, giving themselves a competitive total to defend.

  • Madurai squeezed the chase - It was a similar story in both innings, with both teams making strong starts but failing to maintain the momentum through the middle phase. Dindigul made a bright start in the Powerplay, with Vineeth VK impressing on debut, while Shivam Singh also got going nicely. But they hit a rut in the middle overs and struggled to keep the scoring rate up. Credit to Siechem Madurai Panthers, who used the conditions well on a sticky wicket and made sure there was no way back in the chase for the Dragons.

  • Panthers roar loud - Four wins in as many games for Madurai, and they continue on their merry way. At the halfway mark, it looked like they might be a few runs short, but their bowlers put in a tremendous effort to defend the total and secure another impressive win. It is now a third defeat in four games for last year's runners-up, Dindigul Dragons, and they have it all to do in the second half of the campaign to turn things around.

    Over 18. 9 runs. Bowler: Rajalingam S. : 150/6 (rr 8.33)

FOUR! That is in the gap. P Bhuvaneswaran punches this from the crease and exploits the area near point. Siechem Madurai Panthers win by 21 runs and continue their winning run.

  • 17.5

Rajalingam S goes searching for the yorker but it comes out as a high full toss, on middle. Mohit's weight is on the back foot as he thumps it down to long on. He takes the review to check for the height. The Ball Tracking confirms that the ball was well below his waist and it is a fair delivery.

  • 17.4

Full and straight, on middle. P Bhuvaneswaran swings at it but miscues it off the inner half through square leg for one.

  • 17.3

Nearly another. On middle. P Bhuvaneswaran swings with all his might and it is spooned towards long on, where P Saravanan charges across to his left and puts in a full-length dive. He can't quite cling on as the ball clips his fingertips and drops to the ground. Two taken.

  • P Bhuvaneswaran walks in next.

  • 17.2
    RK Jayant c sub V Hari Ragavendra b Rajalingam S 4 (8)

OUT! CAUGHT! High but not long enough. Cross-seam ball, full and trying to keep it away from the batter's arc. Jayant sinks to a knee and stays deep in the crease. Tries to get under it but only gets the height and not the distance. Skies it a long way up towards long off, where the sub fielder, V Hari Ragavendra settles under it and does the rest.

  • 17.1

Begins with a full ball, outside off. Mohit Mittan frees his arms and carves it to deep cover for a single.

  • Rajalingam S to bowl the final over of the game with Dindigul Dragons needing 31 runs.

  • End of Over 17

  • 16.5

FOUR! That has rocketed to the fence. Singh misses his yorker, outside off. A juicy half-volley and Mohit cracks the drive between extra cover and long off for a boundary.

  • 16.4

Right in the blockhole, on middle and leg. Mittan clears the front leg and jams it out to wide long on for a run. 36 needed off 8.

  • 16.3

What happened there? Wide yorker attempted. Mittan sinks to a knee and leans across. Takes it on the full and tries to drag it away but it pops up and drops down the deck.

  • 16.2

Within the tramline this time, nails the yorker. Mohit Mittan fails to squeeze it out.

  • 16.2

Wide! Wide on off, the batter is not interested in playing at that. Siechem Madurai Panthers challenge the on-field call of wide. Mohit did move across the stumps but the ball was beyond the revised guideline. The call of wide stays.

  • 16.1

Given LBW but successfully overturned. Singh spots Mohit move to the off side and he tries to target the leg pole. Ends up serving a low full toss, on leg. Mohit gets low to swipe it away but misses and gets hit on the front pad. A loud shout and the finger is raised. Mittan reviews and the UltraEdge comes up with a spike, confirming the inside edge.

  • 16.1

Wide. Goes for the wide yorker but it ends up landing well beyond the tramline. It does land outside the cutstrip but after the ball had gone past the stumps, so it will be a wide and not a No Ball.

  • End of Over 16

  • 15.4

Gets the yorker in, at the toes. Mittan digs it out through square leg for another single.

  • 15.3

Stays full, on off, Jayant drills it to long off for one.

  • 15.2

Fuller and on off. Mittan swings a bit too hard and loses his shape in the process. Miscues it in front of deep square leg and comes charging back for the second run.

  • 15.1

FOUR! Launched down the ground. Outside off, on a back of a length. Mohit gives the bowler the charge and plays the lofted hit on the rise. Hits it back over the bowler's head for a four.
