We are back for the chase! The umpires are out in the middle, and out walk the players of Southern Brave Women, taking their places on the field after forming a huddle. The duo of Bryony Smith and Phoebe Litchfield will start the innings for Sunrisers Leeds Women. Lauren Bell will start proceedings with the ball. Let's play...

Advantage Sunrisers? Surely, 115 looks like a pretty straightforward total to chase down, and Sunrisers Leeds are probably the best batting side in the competition. However, we have seen this from the Southern Brave plenty of times, and they somehow manage to win games that seem like a lost cause, so you can't count them out yet. Early wickets could turn this into a humdinger. Stay tuned for the chase.
Sunrisers Leeds Women's KATE CROSS is up for a chat with the broadcasters. On the score, Cross says that she is feeling good with the bowling effort. Details that the way Lizelle kept going at the start, to restrict them to this score, feels wonderful. On her shoulder, Kate smiles and says that she is feeling okay, and is just giving everything she can to take her team to the final. Regarding the Sunrisers' performance, KC says that these are the days for which you play. Adds that the team had a tough start but feels that the back half was good. Hopes to get a win today. On the track, Kate Cross says that it is pretty dry and there is spin. Adds that it is not the traditional Oval pitch due to the weather but believes that Sunrisers can chase it down.
A low total on the board - The nerves do jangle in a big game like this, but the Southern Brave players will feel that they have left at least 20-odd runs out there in the middle. They did start positively and Lizelle Lee got a few boundaries away, but the innings never reached the boiling point. Sunrisers Leeds were relentless as well with the ball and didn't allow the batters to dominate. Sophie Molineux and Charli Knott fought bravely later in the innings but Annabel Sutherland closed things out with a couple of wickets in the last set as the Brave could only muster up 114 runs.
The job is half done - The players of Sunrisers Leeds Women have justified their captain's decision to field first with a very fine performance. It did get a bit untidy at the end with a few No Balls, but overall, they will feel that they are well ahead at the halfway mark. As for Southern Brave Women, they never looked like challenging the opposition with the bat and look for a total of around 130-140.
OUT! ISS WONG IS RUN OUT! On a good length, outside off, Wong heaves it to deep mid-wicket. There was only a single available but the batters wanted to maximize the last ball. They go for the second but the throw from Danielle Gibson is not great, going wide of the keeper. But Lauren Winfield-Hill reaches out, collects, and then dives to break the stumps. Wong is well short and SOUTHERN BRAVE FINISH ON 114/7! That caps off a wondrful bowling and fielding display.

Very full, outside off, Issy Wong steers it towards short third and gets a quick single. The third umpire is into play once more as he informs the on-field umpire that Sutherland has overstepped. THIRD NO BALL IN THE LAST 8 DELIVERIES!
DROPPED! Hattrick denied. On a length, around off, Issy Wong goes for the heave. Gets it off the top half of the bat towards deep mid-wicket. Danielle Gibson comes running in, but misjudges her slide and the ball, despite going into the hands, pops out. Two runs taken.

OUT! CAUGHT! Good communication displayed. On a length, around off, Naomi Dattani gets across and looks to lap it over the keeper but gets a top edge. The keeper goes for the catch and so does short fine leg, but eventually, Bryony Smith from the latter position calls for it and takes it calmly. Thumbs up shown by the bowler as Sutherland gets on a hattrick!

OUT! CAUGHT! Safe as houses. On a length, coming into the left-hander, Jodi Grewcock heaves it hard but finds Phoebe Litchfield at deep square leg who takes it easily. Sutherlands starts the set with a wicket and from 89/3. SOUTHERN BRAVE ARE 108/5!

CAUGHT, but will not matter. On a length, following the batter down the leg side, Sophie backs away and swings, but hits it straight down the throat of wide long on. The batters take a single. But hang on, the third umpire presses the buzzer once more and we will have ANOTHER NO BALL!

A touch short, outside off, Molineux goes back and punches it through the covers. The ball races away but Annabel Sutherland hares across to her right from long off and dives, pushing the ball away. Keeps the batters to a couple. But hang on. We are about to conclude the set but the third umpire informs the on-field umpire that Deepti has overstepped. NO BALL signalled.
Nice and slow, around off, Jodi Grewcock gets down and sweeps this to the left of long on for a run.

Excellence in the field again! A touch short, around off, Sophie Molineux rocks back and pulls it wid eof long on. The ball is racing towards the ropes, but Phoebe Litchfield charges across to her right from deep mid-wicket and dives full stretch, parrying the ball back in! Two runs taken.

Short, outside off, punched through the covers for one more.
INSIDE EDGE, FOUR! Sophie Molineux backs away and Sutherland follows her. Molineus looks to pull but is cramped for room. Luckily for her, the ball scoots off the inside edge past the keeper, to the fine leg fence!
Brilliant from the keeper this time. A slower ball, into the pitch, around middle, Molineux gets across and looks to padde but misses. Lauren Winfield-Hill is blinded but reacts superbly through her reflexes to stop the ball from going past.
Excellent from Cassidy McCarthy. A short ball, outside off, Jodi Grewcock goes back and cuts it to the left of short third. But McCarthy throws herself to her left and parries it to backward point, keeping the batters to just a run.
Onto the Men now - Well, Sunrisers Leeds Women make it to their second consecutive final, where Trent Rockets Women await them on Sunday. They will sit back and relax and cheer the Men's side, hoping to make it a double final experience for the franchise. Tough luck for Southern Brave Women, whose campaign ends here, but they gave a very good account of themselves. A bitter pill to swallow, but maybe, it results in a better 2027. We are done from this clash, but don't go aywhere yet, because the Men are already on the field, going through the warmups. Manchester Super Giants take on Sunrisers Leeds in the Men's Eliminator, which is scheduled to begin at 5 pm GMT, but our buildup has already begun! PLAYER OF THE MATCH - The award goes to Sunrisers Leeds Women's HANNAH BAKER, for her bowling figures of 2/13 in 20 balls. First up, Baker is asked whether she got nervous towards the latter stages of that chase, to which she replies that she was not nervous at all, trusting her batters. Adds that it feels good to be in the final again. On the total put up by the Brave, Hannah generously calls it a bit above par, but stresses that the Sunrisers were confident about chasing that. On the spin available on the surface, HB admits that there was some purchase. Details that the coach advised her to just give it a rip and hope for some help from the deck. On her plans for Saturday, Hannah Baker says that it is a rest day for her and her side. They will aim to recharge themselves and come back refreshed on Sunday for the final and see how it goes.
Batting let Brave down - Coming into this match, the Southern Brave Women simply did not have any momentum. They had lost their last three matches and the batting was under massive question, with a fairly out-of-form middle order, especially after the exit of Jemimah Rodrigues. Those fears came true in this match, with only Lizelle Lee giving her side a brisk start. Lee's 32 (25) did set the tone but the other batters simply could not find a way past Sunrisers' exceptional bowlers and eventually, managed only 114/7 - roughly 15-20 runs short of a par score. The Sunrisers bowled as a unit, with no single bowler bowling exceptionally well and no one having an off day.
Great fight, tough luck - The Brave gave it their all, but unfortunately, the tournament ends for them here. Defending a below-par total, they put the right foot forward but just could not be incisive consistently. Lauren Bell was extraordinarily economical while Issy Wong gave a late hope through her last set, finishing with 3/21. 5 bowlers were used and everyone bowled well, but they just did not have enough runs to defend.
Nervy start - Chasing a modest total, the Sunrisers needed a decent Powerplay. But they lost two wickets in quick succession and at 25/2 after 25 balls, it did seem like it was game on. However, the middle order batted sensibly and around Lauren Winfield-Hill, who took it upon herself to bat through. Winfield-Hill could not quite take her team beyond the finish line, but played a pretty decent knock of 37 (37), being involved in back-to-back 41-run stands with Annabel Sutherland and Deepti Sharma. That laid the platform for a fairly easy win.
Comprehensive in the end - Maybe, a wicket lost too many, but barring that initial burst from Lauren Bell, the Sunrisers were never really in pressure during the chase. They knew that they just needed normal batting to chase down an under-par target and experienced heads have got them through. They earn their fifth straight win and also, their fourth straight win at The Oval.
FOUR! SUNRISERS LEEDS WOMEN ARE THROUGH TO THE FINAL! Back-to-back finals for the defending champions. On a length, slightly wider outside off, Jess Jonassen leans and punches it through the covers. Sees that there is no one out in that area and cries out a big yell of 'YEAH!' looking at Deepti as the latter rushes across to give her a hug. The dugout is all smiles as SUNRISERS LEEDS WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND 11 BALLS TO SPARE!

Gift for Jonassen as she pulls it past short fine leg's right, to the fine leg fence! Two wickets in the set but the last-ball boundary spoils it. Wong finishes with a fighting spell of 3/21 in 20 balls. But the Sunrisers now need just 16 runs from 20 balls.

Wong appeals for LBW and the umpire's finger is up in a flash! The Sunrisers skipper takes the review and Ball Tracking shows that the ball is only about just clipping the top of middle stump! OUT! BOWLED! Well, don't know what Deepti said but it has not worked, or the advice has not been heard. On a length, around off, the knuckle ball, Winfield-Hill backs away to the leg side and plays an ugly hoick across the line. Misses the straight ball and it hits the timber. A rash shot, but still, a decent innings. The 41-run stand has been broken and SUNRISERS LEEDS WOMEN ARE 95/4. 20 more needed from 23 balls.
