With that wicket India have decided to declare. Virat Kohli will walk off unbeaten on 254, his highest Test score, while India as a team have racked up 601-5. It has been brilliant batting and they have taken full advantage of a flat wicket and some very weary bowlers.

It has been a final session in which the Proteas can be proud of themselves. Keshav Maharaj and Vernon Philander put on a record breaking 109 run partnership and it means India have a dilemma on their hands whether or not to enforce the follow-on. It is a huge lead still but they might want to rest their bowlers for a few hours before having another go at South Africa. The pitch also hasn't broken up as much so a few more players running on it might do the trick.

India take a well-deserved 2-0 lead that wraps up the series. They have been utterly dominant in this match and since racking up 601-5 in the first innings it has just been a matter of time before they wrapped up victory. Day 5 goes unused with the wickets shared around today amongst this excellent attack after they chose to enforce the follow on.
