  • The West Indies will be hunting for back-to-back wins in men's Tests against Pakistan for the first time since April 1993 after picking up a one-wicket win in the first match of this series.
  • A win or draw for the West Indies would clinch their first series win in men's Tests against Pakistan since May 2000, when they beat Pakistan 1-0 in a three-match series (D2).
  • The West Indies have now won two of their last three men's Tests at Sabina Park and will now search for back-to-back Test wins at the Kingston venue for the first time since a five-game winning streak from March 1999 to June 2003.
  • Pakistan have lost 10 of their last 14 men's Tests played outside Pakistan (W2, D2), with four of those defeats coming after having won the toss on the day.
  • The West Indies will be looking to log back-to-back wins in men's Tests at home for the first time since January 2019, a four-match run when they beat England and Bangladesh twice between July 2018 and January 2019.
  • Pakistan's pace bowling attack has bowled just 4.7% of their total deliveries on a short length in men's Tests in 2021. the second-lowest rate of any team (India - 3.9%); only Sri Lanka's pace attack (4%) has taken a lower percentage of their wickets via short deliveries in that time than Pakistan (7%).
  • The West Indies bowling attack has conceded a boundary once every 21 balls bowled in men's Tests in 2021, the least frequently of any team in the format in that time.
  • Kemar Roach (West Indies) has snagged seven wickets at an average of 18.3 within the first 10 overs of men's Tests in 2021; only India's Axar Patel (8 wickets at 3.3) has taken more wickets so early in Tests in that time.
  • Sri Lanka (17.7) are the only team against whom the West Indies' Jason Holder has a better Test bowling average than he does against Pakistan (21.1) among teams he's faced more than twice in the format.
  • Babar Azam (Pakistan) has logged at least one score of 50+ runs in four of his five career Tests against the West Indies; however, in the one Test he didn't he logged a pair of ducks (April 2017).
